Overview

Cardiovascular anesthesiology is a highly specialized field with supreme responsibility in major as well as minor cardiothoracic surgeries. The specialty is not only restricted to administering anesthesia, but also requires thorough understanding and competence for management of critical issues including spinal protection, pulmonary ventilation, coagulation monitoring, cardiopulmonary bypass and special care in pediatric patients.

This course aims to refresh your understanding about the basics of general and cardiac anesthesia, while expanding your knowledge with a more practical perspective. You will learn the practical aspects from experienced surgeons and anesthesiologists, and will be later able to translate this knowledge into your clinical practice.
